Leave a voicemail for somebody no longer in your life.
As part of a "Griefline" archive.
Drifted. Died. Estranged.
Forgotten. Lost contact. Never really had contact.
Friend. Lover. Family. Cat.
This Griefline offers a moment of catharsis.
Lost & Found is an animated short film (for which we are no longer collecting voicemails) and a collective-catharsis archive project, offering a space to speak what has gone unspoken. At (570)WEMISSU, you can leave a message and/or listen to the archive of other anonymous callers. This is a chance to leave a voicemail for somebody you couldn't otherwise. No voicemail is too serious, too silly, too specific or too vague. Whatever you need to say: say it.
FAQ
We do ask that you directly address the individual as if you are speaking to them (though you do not need to share their name).
If that means, "hey, you still owe me forty bucks," that's perfect. If that means, "every time I get off at the Myrtle stop, I think of you," that's great.
We plan to show the film at festivals and community events. Eventually, it will be shared publicly online.
